Beetlejuice JR. is a wildly funny and slightly spooky musical that brings the strange and unusual world of the hit Broadway show to life—reimagined for young performers! The story follows Lydia Deetz, a quirky teen who is obsessed with the afterlife, and her unexpected friendship with a mischievous demon named Beetlejuice. Together, they navigate a chaotic world of ghosts, the living, and everything in between.

As the story unfolds, students explore big themes like identity, belonging, and embracing what makes you unique—all through energetic songs, bold characters, and lots of dark humor. Beetlejuice JR. is a high-energy, imaginative show that celebrates individuality and creativity.

Dress Rehearsals: Friday, November 13th, 5:30-7:30pm & Saturday, November 14th 12-4pm

Performance dates: November 14th at 7pm & 15th at 2pm

Registration for Shrek the Musical: KIDS is now open!

Shrek The Musical KIDS is a hilarious, high-energy musical adventure that brings a fairytale world turned upside down to life on stage! Based on the hit film and Broadway show, this story follows an unlikely hero—Shrek—who sets out on a quest to rescue Princess Fiona, alongside a fast-talking Donkey and a cast of quirky fairytale characters. Along the way, they discover that true beauty comes from within and that what makes us different makes us special.

Featuring fun, memorable songs like “Story of My Life,” “I’m a Believer,” and “Freak Flag,” Shrek KIDS is a joyful celebration of friendship, confidence, and embracing who you are.

Performance on Saturday, December 5th at 4pm, with a dress rehearsal at 10am. Students will be released to parents for an extended period between the final rehearsal and the performance.

 

Registration for Willy Wonka: KIDS is now open! 

A fun, fast-paced musical theatre experience where students sing, dance, and act their way through the whimsical world of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS. Over 9 rehearsals, performers will build confidence and stage skills as they bring this imaginative story to life—following Charlie Bucket’s magical journey through Willy Wonka’s mysterious chocolate factory.

The final class will culminate in a fully staged performance for family and friends. This production also marks our premiere performance at our new off-site location at Brookhaven United Methodist Church.

Performance: Tuesday, December 15th at 6:30pm after their 5:30pm rehearsal. Due to space restrictions, each registered student is limited to four seats for the performance. 

Important: All rehearsals and the performance take place at BUMC in the sanctuary. 

The Studios Brookhaven will utilize rehearsal and performance space at Brookhaven United Methodist Church for Willy Wonka: KIDS. This program will be fully staffed and operated by The Studios Brookhaven, bringing the same TSB experience to this additional rehearsal and performance location.

Maggie Carpenter

Preschool Tumbling Instructor

Maggie Carpenter is a lifelong lover of cheer and gymnastics. While growing up in the Cleveland, Ohio area, she took her first gymnastics class at two years old and went on to many years of recreational gymnastics and ten years of competitive cheerleading. In addition to her cheerleading background, she has an extensive performing arts background and currently sings in the Soprano II section of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. She is also an avid reader and loves all things arts and crafts. She is not afraid to be silly and loves working with the youngest athletes. Her goal for each tumbling class is to safely coach children through the beginnings of proper technique while having the most amount of fun possible!

Ricardo Aponte

Adult Musical Theatre Dance Instructor

Stage director and choreographer Ricardo Aponte has directed over 15 musicals and choreographed over 30 musicals, operas, and industrial shows nationwide. Ricardo is originally from Venezuela and resides in Atlanta, GA, where he has become one of the most in-demand creators, recognized with 3 Suzi Awards and ten nominations.  Recent work: Director and/or Choreographer- Atlanta Opera (Candide, Cabaret, Revolution of Steve Jobs, Carmen, and Frida), Cinderella (Aurora Theatre), Luisa Fernanda (Florentine Opera), White Christmas (Jennie T. Anderson). He’s also the founder and artistic director of Theatre Platform Project, an educational nonprofit, providing performing arts programs to diverse communities in Atlanta.
Sasha Green

Ninja & Tumbling Instructor

With a lifelong passion for movement, Sasha began training in Parkour and Gymnastics at a very young age. This early start sparked a deep understanding of how exciting and at times challenging it can be to learn new skills. That’s why Sasha is dedicated to guiding students through every step of their journey, no matter their age or experience level.

As an APK-certified Parkour instructor and experienced gymnastics coach, Sasha has worked with a wide range of students and personalities. His coaching background includes time at places like American Parkour, Peach Pit Gymnastics and Intown Stars Gymnastics, where he coached both recreational and competitive gymnastics as well as Parkour, helping athletes build confidence, strength, and creativity through movement.

Sasha believes in creating a supportive and empowering environment where students can progress at their own pace. His Motto? “See obstacles as opportunities not limitations!”

Amanda DeJiacomo
Amanda DeJiacomo

Piano Instructor

Amanda DeJiacomo began playing piano at the age of 6 and continued her piano studies through college. Amanda began her collegiate studies at Lee University, where she was accepted into the School of Music, and took piano lessons. She transferred to Shorter University and was also accepted into the School of Music, where she continued lessons and joined Choir. Amanda performed in multiple shows at Shorter University.

In addition to piano, Amanda expanded her musical career in middle school through playing flute and piccolo and achieving First Chair All State band. Amanda played in multiple piano Guild competitions and received the highest ratings.

Amanda has also studied with the Upright Citizens Brigade in Improvisation and Sketch Comedy. Amanda acted in multiple professional projects in Los Angeles and Atlanta. She is a 2-time regional champion golfer and competed in two National College Golf Championships. Amanda grew up as a musician and athlete and fully believes these have set her up for success. She looks forward to meeting her new students and sharing her knowledge and joy of music!

Abbey Danna

Guitar & Voice Instructor

Abbey is a singer, dancer, actor, musician and artist from Baltimore, MD. Over the past decade, Abbey has performed in various venues ranging from amphitheaters across the world.. She began her career as a dancer in NYC but over the last decade evolved into a multifaceted artist, business-owner and performer. Over the last five years, she has also been teaching and developing the musicians and performers of the future. Building the student’s confidence is her focus while she teaches guitar, piano, voice and dance. You can find her music on streaming platforms and follow her online – abbeydanna.com
